I bought some aquarium plants from the local pet supply shop for use as weird Barsoom plants for my John Carter of Mars game. They're either plastic or some stiff fabric in garish colors & have relatively heavy bases; I think that they're perfect. The store's clerk asked me what kind of fish I had & was quite bemused by my response a la miniature gaming.
