She comes from good Highland stock and her dad was in the Gordon Highlanders during WWII; she was thrilled to be piped in for her stage entrance and I was thrilled, as a long-time fan, to volunteer to do so via her then-USA fan club managed by her step-daughter. In the evening, she treated a passel of admirers and her entourage to drinks and snacks at a nearby restaurant and told stories about her adventures in film making.
