Flags

Fight alongside revolutionaries in Virginia under these flags! These are based on a recommendation by the Virginia Committee of Safety in 1775. They stated that flags should have the motto "Virginia for Constitutional Liberty" on one side, and the name of the district on the other side. They divided Virginia's militia into 16 districts: eight made up the southern district, and eight made up the northern district.

Unfortunately, besides the mottoes, there is no other information on how these flags appeared. I have chosen to illustrate them with a Union Jack, as the motto "Virginia for Constitutional Liberty" suggests they were eager to appear loyal to the British Constitution. However, if your troops object to serving under the Union Jack, a 13-stripe canton version of each flag is also provided.

Flags come as 33 high-quality PNG images in a zip folder.
